The ramp up of cancer immunotherapy is remarkable. Now we're seeing vaccines achieve some cures or remissions in the most refractory cancers: pancreatic, melanoma, glioblastoma, renal, triple-negative breast cancer. ✓ out the new Ground Truths (link in profile)

We published a new preprint on BioRxiv. We uncovered a pyroptosis-driven stromal-immune circuit that explains why TET2 mutations progress to myeloid disease, and how to disrupt it. This work is led by @Kehan_Ren_PhD. bit.ly/42pjgwB

#AML world awareness day. AML symptoms can be mistaken with several other diseases but a simple blood test can give an early diagnosis and access to treatment. Sign up to @AnthonyNolan or @DKMS_uk to become a potential stem cell donor and save a life.
Ian saw his GP twice but wasn’t taken seriously. He was eventually diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) at A&E. Like Ian, 1 in 4 people with leukaemia face delays in diagnosis. Add your name to end the delays: action.leukaemiauk.org.uk/en… #AMLWorldAwarenessDay #CountUsIn

First (to my knowledge) manuscript describing a correlation between number of infections and incidence of clonal hematopoiesis (CHIP). Really important from the perspective of highlighting a possible modifiable driver of CHIP during aging. @ISEHSociety exphem.org/article/S0301-472…

We show that some individuals are protected from blood cancers because their blood stem cells operate with lower MSI2 activity. This provides human genetic evidence supporting inhibition of MSI2 or its downstream targets for blood cancer prevention. (3/n)
