Under his leadership, NSF established the U.S. National Science Foundation Directorate for Technology, Innovation and Partnerships (NSF TIP) to enhance U.S. competitiveness in the global market. Dr. Panchanathan was inducted as a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors in 2013. It was great to host Hashimoto Kazuhito, science and technology advisor to the prime minister and @JST_info president to @NSF headquarters. We discussed issues of mutual interest in research security and advancing innovation using the Quad alliance.
