The desire for peace, prosperity, happiness, these are all natural, but the desire for good can be exploited and used by those who do evil. Communism promises a world without suffering. And yet, in its execution, it does the exact opposite. Discover the true history!

Scientists have made a new scientific breakthrough in the study of the human body. Researchers in the United States have discovered something amazing: a third circulatory system within the human body. Alongside the previously known cardiovascular and lymphatic systems, this interstitium system (as it’s being called) appears to allow the different organs of the human body to pass things along to one another. Which in-and-of-itself is an amazing discovery, but it’s made even more exciting by the fact that this newly discovered system maps very well onto the model of the human body that’s been used in traditional Eastern medicine for thousands of years (in practices like acupuncture, for instance). Meaning, this discovery might very well be the missing link between Western and Eastern medicine.

Is this the Achilles’ heel of China’s ruling party? @SamuelBrownback suggests the U.S. should speak up for oppressed people in China, like the Tibetan Buddhists, Muslim Uyghurs, and Christians. “It will drive the Chinese Communists nuts. It’s where they’re the most vulnerable globally.”

.@DavidBartonWB says 75% of college students want socialism, but can anyone name even a single successful example in history? “They have bought into something that they think is going to work, that’s never worked.” @JoshJPhilipp points out that many mistakenly point to the Nordic countries as proof that socialism works. But in reality, Josh says, “They actually have a freer economic system than we do.”

With high rates of suicide, drug overdose, porn addiction, and family dysfunction… is this what societal progress looks like? Timothy Goeglein, Vice President at @FocusFamily, discusses how America ended up here—and what it’ll take to fix it. “As George Orwell said, the first duty of an intelligent man is to restate the obvious, and I think we have arrived at the generation where, in defense of the permanent things, we have to restate the obvious.”

.@DrNealDunnFL2 on the “ungodly” fentanyl death toll: “It’s killing 100,000 Americans a year … that’s more than the entire Vietnam War.” Rep. Dunn also explains how the CCP makes money from this. “They use this as a money laundering operation, you know. Send the cartels the precursors, then the cartels pay them back in dollars.”

The U.S. is slapping Chinese companies and individuals with sanctions. The reason? Helping Iran acquire millions of dollars’ worth of weapons. In other news, Capitol Hill hearings are shining a spotlight on energy security, Chinese influence in U.S. agriculture, and a resurging livestock pest. @ChinaInFocusNTD unpacks these stories and more.

“Under the CCP, you’re more valuable dead than you are alive.” And @JoshJPhilipp means it literally, referring to China’s state-backed organ harvesting system. “Imagine you’re a Chinese citizen … you know that if you get injured in a car accident and you’re written as an organ donor, you’re not dead and the doctor knows he can make $50,000 by sending you to the chop shop.” “I’d be terrified.”

Mullin: Trump Admin Located 146,000 Missing Unaccompanied Migrant Children so Far Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said that “we found 146,000 kids so far” as he spoke during a news conference at the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) headquarters alongside acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. Mullin added that after investigations into the cases, “you start hearing the absolute horrific things that took place underneath” the prior presidential administration and said that it was “either true neglect at best and criminal at worst … to allow 450,000 kids to go missing throughout this country.” “Some of these kids claimed that they were raped 600 to 700 times. I don’t care who you are … if you can’t stand for law enforcement to go find these kids, who are you?” he also said. ntd.com/trump-admin-located-…

Where is the future of U.S.–China relations headed? While Xi Jinping tries to present America as a declining power and China as an ascending one, the reality is that China faces several grave problems, Gordon Chang says. "We do need to de-link our economies because China uses every point of contact to take our society down," he said.

Chinese buyers have been approaching farmers with an alarming goal: To buy up their farmland well above market value, says @JoshJPhilipp. “The full amount of land that has been sold is not even fully known, but some estimates put Chinese ownership at around 277,333 acres of U.S. farmland.” Josh also lists a range of other serious concerns—including agro-terrorism and American food falling into the hands of a foreign adversary.

The unpleasant truth is this: Plastic is everywhere, and scientists have even detected it inside our bodies. “You eat some shellfish, and you’ve absorbed all of the microplastics that that animal had consumed before it reached you,” says Shelby Melanson. “The clothes we wear. How much of our clothing in our closets is polyester? That’s plastic.”

The president canceled airstrikes he had threatened for tonight, claiming a framework deal has been approved by Iran and U.S. allies. The latest on another whipsaw day in the region. Moving to end the intelligence standoff on Capitol Hill, the president said he will nominate former SEC Chair Jay Clayton to head national intelligence. Where does that leave Bill Pulte? The war of words escalated: the president of the United States versus Stephen A. Smith. And sports galore. Excitement has been building for the opening match of the World Cup—and the Knicks pulled off what’s being called the greatest comeback in NBA finals history. And in our panel: Microsoft’s CEO said everyone is a stakeholder when it comes to AI—but what about the job displacement he also said could happen? Our panel reacted to his comments and the week’s other big statements.

‘Violino’ finds the magic in the creation of a masterpiece. We began our quest, from Cremona, the city of music, to the sounding forest “Bosco che Suona” in the Italian Alps. It is this forest that Stradivari, one of the greatest luthiers, came to carefully select trees for his instruments.
