Make America Great Again is no longer just a slogan backed by a weaker USD, and tariffs. Now foreign tech companies will actually consider what nationalities they want to employ! That's 🤯
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

I want to angel invest into a few startups - buying @MicronTech back in 2020 paid off. If you think that having a fellow founder on your cap table would make a good addition - ping me. DMs are open and I review them on daily basis.

almost every AI agent sending texts today is doing one of three things - breaking carrier rules, renting "pre-warmed" numbers that come with someone else's spam history, or quietly burning an employee's personal number. When your phone calls begin getting flagged as spam, when u call your mom, whom are you planning to reach out to, for help? 😅

(4/5) 4. Volume throttle: sales agent built for 500 follow-ups/day? Carrier SMS limits choke it in the first hour.

(5/5) Cross-channel fragmentation: phone --> SMS --> WhatsApp --> email --> LinkedIn. Despite a decade of (web) omni-channel preaching, every transition leads to a cold start, the agent remembers nothing about your conversation on Saturday.

Saying goodbye is never easy, especially not when you are in love. In love w/ the customers, the employees and most importantly - the problem space. @GenwayAI was - and is - a great product. We built an AI-moderated user research platform when very few ppl knew what it means, and ever fewer believed that this is a massive category. We worked with tier 1 customers such as Salesforce, ServiceTitan, NEXT, Rakuten and dozens of others. I am proud of what we built, and who we built it with - @galdayan1895, @OmriBenSho1995, and a team that bet on a hard thesis when AI agents were still mostly chatbots. How does one fix a broken heart of an entrepreneur?

it is time to let the cat out of the bag. There is no easy way to say that so I am just going to say it - @GenwayAI is pivoting. The emotional turmoil of a pivot reminds that of a stage 12 Beaufort storm. The pain signals your brain emits are as real as it gets. The founder dilemmas turn your stomach up side down. I will be write more, a lot more, about all of that.... If you are an early stage founder building, thinking of building, or fundraising from @speedrun / @ycombinator make sure to tunein - my story might be yours.

Application for @speedrun 07 are officially open. The program not only changed @GenwayAI trajectory, but also ours as founders. I am looking for a few folks to mentor, way more valuable than a scout cheque if you ask me. If you haven't done so yet - comment with a blurb of what you are building, and I will reach out via DM. A tip I shared with folks that attended SR06: If you are a team of 3 crashing in SF/LA for the duration of the program, don't be cheap! Get an apartment with more than 1 bathroom... otherwise it will turn into Sparta quicker than you think 😅

It's official - @speedrun 07 applications are open. Yes - as a scout I can write you a cheque within 24h but I wanna do better than that. I am looking for a few early stage founders to mentor. My sweet spot are folks with international background, who come from underprivileged backgrounds, and never had anything handed to them. Comment with a blurb of what you are building and I will DM you my Demo Day pitch recording. Here is a tip I gave folks in the past. Your product and vision will take you from 10-->100 but for the 0-->1 part it's about the TEAM. Read the "Dinner Party Jerk" essay by @andrewchen. That's how u should pitch yourself.

ok - dropping big dates/news for a16z speedrun: - starting TODAY, founders can apply for the 2026 program that runs July 27 to Oct 11 in SF here's the link: speedrun007.a16z.com/ac - we will be investing up to $1M and funding 70 companies over the next few weeks - But there's also $5M in credits/tokens/etc from AWS/GCP/Open AI/Azure/NVIDIA/Deel/Stripe/etc. You'll also work with our amazing operating team (GTM, talent, brand, people, and more), and join our community of elite founders - we offer a Global Founders Program for international founders, to help with visas, banking support, relo recommendations - yes you can be solo (but better if you're further along, and have built a team). No you don't have to have an idea yet. Yes you have to know how to build (even if you're not technical) - Also, in other news: speedun is officially moving full-time to SF. (prev it alternated SF/LA) this is for all the obv reasons - we've continued to have an insane lineup of speakers, including the founders of Carta / DoorDash / Twilio / Figma / Zynga / Airtable / Twitch / and of course, lunch/dinners with Marc/Ben alongside a16z team - and much more - the deadline for applying is May 17!

a16z @speedrun is the bridge to the US for international teams building global companies from day 0 I'm personally very bullish on the Israeli tech ecosystem and the incredible founders coming out of it. They are tenacious, sharp and driven to build something bigger than themselves This batch we had 4 exceptional Israeli teams. We've had 14 since we started the program 3 years ago. This is just the start Stay tuned for some big announcements from my partner @noyakremer and me 👀 pic with our SR006 Israeli founders from yesterday's demo day in San Francisco @NissenbergElad @segalbenji @IamChocolateBar @ChiefTanki
