Todayâs Irish Examiner reports on a new ITC survey showing that men in Ireland are still saving significantly more into their pensions than women, with 53% of financial advisors saying men save more.

This isnât about personal choice. Itâs about a system that still fails to value care work and womenâs time.
The gender pension gap in Ireland remains at 35%.
By focusing on private occupational coverage, the Government has missed the opportunity to strengthen and expand the State pension which remains the best way to ensure adequate income for all people, in particular women, in older age.
