The Internet runs on trust anchors. Right now, that anchor is centralized under ICANN for domains. Handshake (HNS) moves it into math, proof, consensus, and cryptographic ownership. The Web doesn’t need new gatekeepers; it needs new guarantees.

Denmark wants to ban VPNs to combat piracy. The bill, proposed by Denmark’s Ministry of Culture, would prohibit using VPN connections to access media content otherwise unavailable in Denmark or to bypass blocks on illegal websites.

Australian kids are using dog photos to bypass new age verification systems. Kids uploaded a Google image of a golden retriever as a "selfie" for facial age estimation and it passed, granting access. Others used AI-generated adult faces or edited images to fool the systems.

hey @VitalikButerin - I have a free email service that works with Handshake & ICANN domains, ShakeTheMail.net I could get it working with ETH names if there was some way to store a hostname in ETH that I could translate as an MX record - any ideas?

been playing with getting ETH names to work in DNS x.com/NameshakeReg/status/19…

my api stack (api.web3dns.net) now supports fwd & reverse ETH name/wallet look ups - its only on the Alchemy free tier, so try not to abuse it, too much ! It also supports type=uri for getting their IPFS/IPNS supported as port 53, json doh (above) and binary doh
