.@GoogleDeepMind are you planning to release #AlphaGenome predictions for each 1Mb bin of the human genome at some point?
It would be great to have them in @ensembl or @ucsc genome brower.
(Similarly to AlphaFold predictions for all proteins on UniProt)
Thanks!
Earlier this year, I learned I have a pathogenic variant in BRCA2, which gives me a very high lifetime risk of breast cancer (55-69%), as well as an increased risk of ovarian cancer (12-29%) and pancreatic cancer (5-10%).

Excited to share that the AlphaFold 3 model code and weights are now available for academic use.
Looking forward to seeing what new research this unlocks and how the research community builds on AlphaFold 3 for scientific discoveries github.com/google-deepmind/a… 1/2
Xciting news Jobs alert! 🚨 After wonderful years at @CRGenomica, we are relocating beginning 2025 to @ChuSteJustine at @UMontreal. If you want to be part of @payerlab 2.0, come and join us! We are hiring at all levels – see job ads in the thread 🧵below. 👇 1/5
We love the excitement & results from the community on AlphaFold 3 and are doubling the AF Server daily job limit to 20. Happy to also share that we're working on releasing the AF3 model (incl weights) for academic use, which doesn’t depend on our research infra, within 6 months.
Announcing AlphaFold 3: our state-of-the-art AI model for predicting the structure and interactions of all life’s molecules. 🧬
Here’s how we built it with @IsomorphicLabs and what it means for biology. 🧵 dpmd.ai/3URDiNo
Very happy to see our work on the unexpected role of splicing in regulating Polycomb assembly, occupancy, dimerization and histone mark deposition.
Great team work with @mirimiam, @NccAcc, @Ivuaenneo, among others! sciencedirect.com/science/ar…
If memes aren't really your thing (🙄) you can admire our @MolecularCell cover proposal made by the super talented Iris Joval (irisjoval.com) inspired by the Bauhaus movement of the 1920s
ALT Here we witness a vivid representation of those two concepts at play in the nucleus. PRC2 component SUZ12 is present in two alternative splicing isoforms depending on SUZ12 fourth exon (represented by squares) On the one hand, the ancestral isoform mainly acts in a monomeric complex (red semicircle) – that methylates nucleosomes on vast portions of the genome. On the other hand, the novel isoform is able to focus PRC2 activity on gene promoters, by favoring PRC2 dimerization. Exon 4 is constitutively included in non-placentals vertebrates ( kangaroo) only becomes alternative in placental mammals (deer) where the two isoforms are coexpressed and contribute to modify chromatin.
🚨 New pre-print from the lab!
Alternative splicing decouples local from global PRC2 activity
Great work from @NccAcc and @Ivuaenneo, in close collaboration with the Polycomb masters of the @DiCroceLab at @CRGenomica!
Tweetorial by @NccAcc. Additional #PanAS thoughts 👇 1/5
A big thanks goes also to Enrique Blanco, Cecilia Ballaré, @SoBonnal, @mirimiam, and @ludicroce for their exceptional support.
And @EMBO and @CRGenomica for funding my postdoctoral work.
Today in partnership with @IsomorphicLabs, we're sharing progress on the next generation of #AlphaFold. 🧬
Our new model greatly expands coverage of structure prediction beyond proteins to other key biomolecular classes.
How could it help scientists? 🧵 dpmd.ai/alphafold-progress
¡Felicidades, @nasawebb! 🥂

I have written a very short overview of the story the sandy blind mole rat - an endemic species of Ukraine luckily going to be extinct.
It's a story about an animal as well as the people trying to protect it during the turmoil of XX and XXI centuries:

The #EMBLChromatin conference was a blast! Extremely thankful to the organizers and poster judges for giving me a chance to present our work at @CRGenomica
If you're attending #EMBLChromatin come to poster 60 on Wednesday to learn more about how alternative splicing is diversifying polycomb activity and shaping the epigenetic landscape!
