New Year’s Day saw my Fell Race debut (jury still out on if there will be a repeat appearance). 400m of ascent was plenty for me to be getting on with. Hope I am able to overcome the other challenges that 2026 will offer is similarly good spirits.
My first British Masters Pentathlon Champs. Pleased to have finished 7th overall and to have racked up a number of age-group PBs. Roll-on the T&F champs in 2 weeks.
Proud coach but prouder parent moment. Both daughters making it to the England Senior Athletics champs. Elder running a cracking 400m and younger coming away with gold in the U23 100m (Silver in the Senior).
Excited to be making my @DerbyBookFest debut today, interviewing Paul Sinton-Hewitt the man behind @parkrunUK. Whilst nervous about my first appearance I know I will be safe with the parkrun community who make everyone feel welcome.
May Bank Holiday can only mean BUCS outdoor athletics championships. Three days of coaching, ‘dad’ing and supporting the @DerbyUni students taking part.
An enjoyable jaunt around the streets of Derby yesterday in the @DCCTOfficial 10k. Hopefully lots of money raised to support their work across the city.
