Huge thanks goes out to my friends @BVR_17 and @TvanRiemsdyk6 for taking their time to make a difference for a young Caps fan fighting a tough illness. Thank you TVR and BVR! #FrancoStrong

The NYPD’s Rank & File were set up by City Hall & 1 Police Plaza for failure. Two things were blatantly obvious last night: 1. There is NO way there is 35,000 cops. 2. Recently, NYPD planning has significantly declined. All on hands were on deck last night and yet they appeared uncoordinated and not well staffed. Expect a celebratory “Crime Is Down” and “Crime is at historic lows” press conference soon. x.com/nicksortor/status/2066…

I couldn’t agree with this more. NYPD has more experience with crowd control than any agency on earth. Given adequate resources, none of this happens. This was a shocking fail bc it was so predictable. Wishing the injured cops speedy recovery.

What kind of person would set fire to a school bus because their team won a championship basketball game?

There were no riots in New York when the Giants won the Superbowl & Mike Bloomberg was Mayor. Ditto for the Yankees winning the World Series under Giuliani.
The hood of a bus is ripped off tonight in New York City

The Knicks’ payroll is over $200 million, Karl-Anthony Towns makes over $53 million, and several teammates earn tens of millions more. If this is “socialism,” income inequality just won an NBA championship.
This is your city on socialism

Aside from all the riots and violence and property destruction and the guy in a coma and the burning school bus and the people who got stabbed and the spurs fans who barely escaped a gang assault… sure, this was a huge success for NYC.
NYC's response to the Knicks' run is an explicit rejection of Trumpism. Civic engagement is at an all-time high. Fearmongering about public safety was crushed by the hundreds of spontaneous watch parties. Unimaginably diverse groups rallying behind a sense of collective identity.

I'm normally on your side. But it wasn't a small amount of people causing problems. Half of Midtown was a disaster . Multiple people were stabbed , a person was shot, Multiple cop cars were destroyed , school busses set on fire cops were assaulted New Yorkers were brutally beat up and much more . Last night really sucked for New Yorkers.
As New York City celebrated a Knicks championship last night, the men and women of the NYPD were working across all five boroughs to keep people safe. That included dealing with a relatively small number of people who used celebration as an “excuse” to turn to violence. Many cops worked long, grueling tours. Many came in on their days off. And many went straight from a long night into the Puerto Rican Day Parade and FIFA watch parties this morning. To every cop who put themselves at risk to ensure others could celebrate safely: thank you for your noble service. This city is grateful.

I’m not surprised you would say something like this, @GovSherrillNJ. On June 8th, I personally granted you access to the facility as an act of good faith— despite you having exactly ZERO federal oversight authority. Of course, you’re still trying to turn Delaney Hall into a political football for the radical left. You were told BEFORE you went in you would not have the ability to speak to detainees. This is a federal facility, Governor. You are NOT federally elected. I suggest you and your health inspectors spend more time at your New Jersey state detention facilities. Delaney Hall has 2x more medical personnel per detainee than NJ state prison, and at least 2x as much square footage. Detainees are also 2x more likely to die in NJ state custody. ⬇️
After being denied access for weeks, I was finally allowed into Delaney Hall – but what I received was a closely controlled and limited tour of the facility. That is unacceptable. I was not allowed to meet or speak directly with the detainees, which continues to raise serious questions about the real conditions of the facility and the treatment of those held there. I will continue to push to speak with the detainees directly. They deserve to be heard and the public deserves answers.

After working for 40 years, the average Social Security recipient gets $1850/month. After being in America for 40 minutes, the average illegal “refugee” gets $3874/month. And red or blue, that should PISS EVERYONE OFF.

One minute you have Ron “the Snake” MacLean rambling on about his sister’s kid in Oakville marrying a deli owner who used to be an Olympic-level curler, who makes the best pancakes he’s ever had. The next minute you have Jennifer Botterill campaigning to make face washes a suspendible offense and crying about violent actions performed in an inherently violent sport in which everyone who plays does so by their own volition. Finally, no Social Justice Night in Canada would be complete without Kelly Hrudey trying to score some leftist points by going on and on about his or a player’s “mental health”. HNIC was an institution—something Canadians once considered a highlight of their week. It introduced a lot of Americans to Canadian hockey culture from afar. It had a captive audience during the first intermission, when one of the most entertaining figures in NHL history, Don “Grapes” Cherry, would shoot straight from the hip with amazing and insightful hockey analysis that has not since been matched. Today, that same program stands as a source of embarrassment for the same fans that once made it the institution it was. The worst part is that it doesn’t have to be this way. HNIC could be resurrected by simply hiring the correct analysts for their audience—a task so easy that a child could do it. @SportsnetPR
I enjoy the @NHL playoffs, but the mute button gets a workout big time, especially when these guys are on. Both MacLean and Botterill are insufferable and Hrudey is not far behind. .@Sportsnet, you need a complete overhaul on your product. It stinks.

California is going to steal the election from Spencer Pratt. Had the senate not dicked around and actually did pass the Save America Act this wouldn't be happening. California is corrupt. We all see it. Our representatives in the Senate are a huge failure. YUGE.

How they rig elections in California: They count all the ballots. They stop and look at the results If the Democrats have won, they announce the win. If the Democrats lose, they print just enough Democrat votes to win, and then announce the win. Then they destroy all of the ballots, leaving no evidence. This has been going on for decades.

Don’t get mad at the slow California vote count. Remember, they have to count all the Republican votes first… so they can figure out exactly how many Democrat votes they need to “find.”
