On a farm visit earlier today.👌
Farmer took advantage of the ideal weather conditions to apply Lime where needed on some of his land.
This will raise the pH of the soil and release valuable phosphorus & potassium- all in all improving soil
fertility 👍✅

K is vital for overall grass growth.
Farmers - take a look at your soil samples now... and plan a strategy to spread K on your farm this Autumn!👍
Last day for spreading nitrogen & phosphorus fertiliser is fast approaching. This deadline only applies to 2 of the big 3 fertiliser nutrients. Potassium (K) or potash is a significant nutrient in grassland systems but is all too often forgotten about. bit.ly/2RbkgzE

There’s no better job than grass measuring when the sun shines ☀️ There’s a lot of better jobs when it doesn’t! You can see the grass growing today! 🌱 Soil temperature 11 degrees in Enniskeane. Farms need to start walking weekly! Growth at the moment 20-30 kgs/day and rising 🚀
