As confirmed by the @USGS , an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7mb has occurred, with the epicenter in Hunterdon County, NJ. There is no reported damage in Neptune Township, and there are no known/ongoing hazards related to the earthquake in our area.

Snow begins early Friday morning & will accumulate quickly due to the cold temps, 2-4" likely for our area of the coast but up to 6" possible! Travel on Friday will be challenging, plan for slow commutes. Remember, snow parking rules activate as soon as roads are snow-covered!

Our first good soaking rain in weeks is forecasted to arrive Tue afternoon through Wed morning. While the rain is much-needed, it will come at a small cost: gusty winds 25-35 mph (with localized gusts up to 45 mph along the coast) and some coastal flooding possible.
