ALT If someone wants to transition that's their decision and nobody should have the power to stop them. No Doctor, No TERF, and No Tory (Red or Blue) can tell us what to do with our bodies. That is the point from which we start and it is the point the British medical establishment have refused for decades. The Cass Review uses psuedoscience to justify restricting trans bodily autonomy. It excluded trans people from its governance board and appointed conversion therapy activists to conduct its evidence review who did not declare their conflicts of interest. It cites multiple debunked papers by conversion therapists and dismisses most of the actual evidence by casting a shadow of unreasonable doubt. This is the same tactic used by oil and tobacco companies, anti-abortion groups, and anti-trans groups in the USA. It wears a mask of scientific authority but the only legitimate authority on our bodies is us.
