My guest today is Paul Tudor Jones (@ptj_official), one of the greatest macro traders of all time. He correctly predicted the 1987 stock market crash and shorted the Japanese bubble in 1990. For over 40 years, his flagship fund has had a negative correlation to the S&P 500. 100% of his returns are alpha. He says today's market has so many similarities to 2000, "the easiest bear market I've ever seen in my whole life." He makes the case for going long dollar-yen, why Bitcoin beats gold as an inflation hedge, and why he was wrong about Warren Buffett. But what I'll remember most from this conversation is Paul's zest for life. He's 71 and still wakes at 2:30 every morning to trade the London open. He works out for two hours a day. He walks with his wife every evening. He travels the country chasing peak spring and peak fall. He's so excited about the songs picked for his funeral that he wishes he could be there to hear them. Paul has lived five lifetimes in one. He's one of the most entertaining and interesting people I've met, and the conversation will leave you searching to be as passionate about what you do as he is about what he does. Enjoy! Arguably the most important skill is controlling your attention. This goes beyond merely avoiding distractions. The deeper skill is finding the highest and best use for your time, given what is important to you. More than anything else, controlling your attention is about being able to figure out what you should be working on and identifying what truly moves the needle.

Here are my top 8 free trading & investing web tools. Your input is greatly appreciated! As a strong advocate for utilizing free tools available on the internet, I am eager to write a comprehensive thread on websites that offer valuable and insightful resources that could aid your processes, because they certainly did for me. The availability of some of these materials today, which were previously not freely accessible in 2010s, is a fortunate circumstance we should appreciate. However, I acknowledge that the website I have listed based on my own experience may not be the best available option today. There might be other comparable websites offering better tools and functions. Therefore, I would greatly appreciate your input on the websites you are using. I intend to use my current holiday to explore them and further enhance the quality of my upcoming sharing. Below are my list! 1. @KoyfinCharts - Financial Data and Analytics Platform (love the snapshot from its mobile app especially if you were using seekingalpha, I can't find anything with a better presentation than this) - app.koyfin.com/ 2. @PradeepBonde's Market Monitor (extreme readings in technical breadth are good signs of turnaround) -stockbee.blogspot.com/p/mm.h… 3. Data Roma (13F filings of activity by top investors. Seamless and unclutter website because it's simply using blogspot if i'm not wrong :D ) - dataroma.com/m/home.php 4. @stratosphere_io (comprehensive financial data, segments, investor tools, and excel add in, which I am likely subscribe for the data in near future) - stratosphere.io/ 5. @TradingArchive (he has been very dedicated to making this website. if you need a quick overview of 1/3/6-mth rank of industry group or theme sorted via % gain/loss) -stockmarket.industries/Indus… 6. thestockcatalyst.com/ pre-market movers (could filter to earnings based catalyst for PEAD based traders) 7. @FINVIZ_com free screener (you should know I have many scans on this from my pinned thread!) - finviz.com/ 8. @nevonal - (the free work he has done on @Qullamaggie stream is extremely underrated. The website is not exactly a tool but I would like to give him a mention, and reading the recap with charts from the website are always my travel entertainment) - fewmoredays.io/ So, what about yours?

While waiting for the bull market, remember these patterns play out on all timeframes. Long the frontside, short the backside. The same setups repeat over and over and over.

I had a discussion yesterday with a struggling trader who explained for 20 minutes how bonds are affecting market , how commodities are in multi year bull market and how Fed policy is behind the curve. My question then why are you not making money.
