2) Francine Uwera Havugimana, Commissioner of the Private Sector in the Pan African Movement, visited New Generation Academy, a school that has a vision of developing the talents of children for the purpose of fitting into the 21st century.
Our NGA π₯ students held joint class sessions in Robotics and Coding with the GS Rugando students before discussions and presentations from our visitors on the importance of ICT skills and education π¦Ύπ» in the continued development and prosperity of Rwanda π·πΌ and Africa π
We are very grateful to have shared this special day with our guests and to spread our mission to provide youth with the 21st century skills they need to become future leaders and visionaries beyond our school community π
This #Techthursday NGA π₯ is excited to announce that soon we will be opening a fully equipped Fabrication Lab π¦Ύπ€ π₯Όto provide hands on skills and education for our NGA π₯students as well as students from across Kigali, Rwanda π·πΌ and East Africa π
As the machinery arrives and our engineers begin to set it up, our studentβs anticipation to learn how to use them and start their projects grows quickly! We canβt wait to see what they can do in our new Fab Lab soon β°

Huge congratulations to @RwCodingAcademy for securing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions consecutively in the high-school category of the @picoctf -Africa 2024 organized by @cmu_africa at the African continental level. π
Olivier also reflected on NGAβs new Rugando campus remarking on the many possibilities the new quiet and peaceful space provides, including expanded computer & robotics labs as well as more space to dedicate to diverse learning from reading corners to drone flying areas.
He also thanked the NGA parentsβ community for their patience and resilience in supporting this move and the challenges the new campus and recent weather have presented.
