Bold take: Most "innovative schools" are just traditional education with fancy furniture.
I've visited schools claiming to be innovative. Reality check? 90% were running the same old system with fresh paint and new chairs.
Real innovation isn't about fancy makeovers. It's about:
1. Clear vision that actually challenges the status quo
2. Teachers who are given freedom to experiment
3. Spaces designed for real learning and doing, not Instagram photos
4. Programs shaped and run by students
5. Projects that mirror real-world challenges
Want to know what the most innovative schools are doing? Students are learning and building with technology to solve real-world problems, managing the schools social media, conducting longevity research on mice, and even running businesses on campus.

2nd Grade students from NLE and JCE visited Tri-County Career Center to explore in demand careers in our region. Thank you to the students and staff at TriCounty for hosting our kiddos and teaching them about all the exciting things happening there!

Our first 7 students of the year have finished the Interim Cred Course through Newark JATC/IBEW 1105. 19 more students are working to finish soon! This partnership with N-JATC has been so rewarding for these students and has “sparked” interest in this needed and necessary field!
