BEAM is the correct virtual machine for agents, and Elixir and Gleam are the correct languages. The future is massively concurrent

I saw this tweet a few days ago. Perfect timing since I was already refreshing my C memories (no pun intended) watching @antirez 's course. Here's my GH repo with the basic malloc implementation. At the end I asked Claude to quiz me πŸ§‘β€πŸ« That was fun! github.com/nickgnd/malloc-tu…
MALLOC in C by @danluu is the best thing I have read about OS and low level code. I beg you lot to take a look, and try this out. I don't care which OS you are on, get a VM if you have to, but do this one lads, you'll love it. danluu.com/malloc-tutorial/

Catching up on @antirez's C course during the Xmas break. My 14" screen with YouTube neovim compiler ClaudeCode got tight fast. I wrote a simple tmux binding to swap the current pane with a "hidden" one. Now I can toggle Claude in/out instantly 🀩 nickgnd.com/pills/2025/12/23…

. @antirez hai seguito il keynote di apertura dell' @OpenAI DevDay 2025 ? Ci sono diverse novita', non tanto sul lato modelli, ma piu' dev tooling (e.g. agent kit) e creazione di "app" (App sdk MCP). ...Vogliano portare tutto all'interno di ChatGPT . youtube.com/watch?v=hS1Yqcew…

Looking for clickable stacktraces in #neovim? 🐭 Built a custom `nvim://` URL handler that opens files directly from @elixirphoenix error pages, everything glued using #tmux because why not πŸ€– nickgnd.com/posts/2025/09/15… #elixirlang #myelixirstatus #dotfiles

Lot of fun with @adafruit and circuit python, let's see if I can build an air quality index 🀩 Measuring: - Temperature (in Celsius, wrong label in the pic) - Humidity (that's humid today!) - CO2 - PM 2.5

Excited to share my latest blog post on hacking LLMs reasoning time, inspired by @antirez exploration of "s1: Simple test-time scaling" paper. Eventually, llama guessed how man R's there are in the word strawberry πŸ“ That was fun! nickgnd.com/posts/2025/02/10… #AI #LLMs

Great example on how to implement your own model in Bumblebee starting from the current ones πŸ€“ Kudos to @bitcrowd for sharing it. #myelixirstatus
This blog post from the team @bitcrowd is an outstanding resource for those who want to leverage SOTA embeddings with bumblebee. Easily the highest value resource I've seen on the subject yet. This post in particular covers the path from zero to Jina v2 bitcrowd.dev/how-to-run-jina…

I generally use a cool IDE themes with many colors to make my code _look_ beautiful, isn’t enough? 😬 Jokes aside, @robertoaloi showing us the potential of the Erlang Language Platform and how it makes code beautiful πŸͺž #codeBEAMEurope #myelixirstatus

β€œ30 years on and in the BEAM” by @erik_stenman starts by quoting @joeerl The best thing to do is create a lagom number of processes. Erlang comes from Sweden, and the word lagom loosely translated means β€œnot too few, not too many, just about right” Great start #codeBEAMEurope

. @wojtekmach on the stage talking about @hexpm That’s crazy what this tool(a) can offer out of the box. The attention to the DX/UX is just top notch, and yes, I never had a problem with Hexpm in years. #myelixirstatus #codeBEAMEurope
