@waitrose pls can you fix a new issue with self-scan machines as they no longer scan MyWaitrose wallet barcodes on bigger phones? Wouldn’t work taking a screenshot of the barcode so lower on the screen. Not carried my card in yrs & won’t work for iPhone 17 ProMax size. Thanks!

I wasn’t the only one in my local store today with the same issue apparently when I asked the customer services staff. I have a protective case on the phone but not that big. I think the barcode position just needs to be lowered a bit in Apple Wallet

Then it would probably release the handset. You can scan it at the self-service tills on the plate scanner but it just means a far less streamlined experience for customers wanting to scan as they go. Thanks for considering!

When will people appreciate that vile behaviours towards frontline staff are unacceptable when we’re often politely trying to help them. Why also are staff so reluctant to report? Sadly on the receiving end this morning, grateful for a prompt police response & camera evidence

Just a thought. Can we cancel all the Christmas adverts now? If parents are having to decide whether to eat or heat, how on earth are they going to cope when their children see ads for toys there is literally no money for?
