As Lord Polak, rightly asks, amid all the fuss and anger about some charity money going to help people in disputed territory, what is @HFalconerMP doing about British charity money going to funders of terrorism, the IRGC and Muslim Brotherhood?
A few months ago, I hosted an event with @LordWalney and @KasraAarabi about their report into how the IRGC - which has carried out numerous acts of terror on British soil - is being funded by British charities.
There was no performative statement from our government then.

Had he travelled on a normal passport like any other citizen, the vetting would likely have been done in Nairobi and things flagged there. But Somalia hands out diplomatic passports like candy and then acts surprised when there are consequences. The issue here is Somalia.

I have plenty of issues with Trump, but he’s not the issue here. The real issue is the entitlement of Somalia’s political elite and the abuse of diplomatic privileges. At some point we need to stop blaming everyone else and start holding the men running Somalia accountable.
