It's the most effective form of marketing your channel(s) to new eyes. We know taking a VOD, chopping it up into clips, editing, and distributing those to social media platforms can be monotonous, very time-consuming, or even expensive if you're hiring editors and designers to help put your clipped content together. Our ultimate goal as a company is to make it so that our streamers do what they are best at: streaming. And we want to build tools and processes that AUTOMATICALLY do all the extras to bring people into your stream, turn them into longtime followers and subscribers, and eventually monetize from them. So with that all being said, our first step to getting to that point will be offering AI clipping of all your livestreams and VODs! We have signed with a development team that specializes in this type of initiative with machine learning engineers and a group of developers that will be able to provide a top-notch solution in leveraging AI to pull the content out of your streams that will be ideal for posting on social media platforms. TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram reels, all of them. There are other services that are missing crucial features that don’t allow for maximum exposure from natural and organic viewers, and we’re going to change that!! This will also be built straight into Rio, not its own standalone platform. This is just the first step in automating the boring parts of your streaming experience 💚💚

Matt and I have been talking with the founders of a streaming platform that is unfortunately closing their doors tomorrow. We've been super interested and excited about the idea of acquiring them and adding another asset under the Rio umbrella. We got most of our questions answered on Zoom, we appreciate the passionate community they've been able to build, and we loved the thought of offering another service through @RioStreaming. After doing due diligence and looking through financials, it's clear that this business model is super hard to be profitable with. It gave me a newfound appreciation for platforms like @kick, @Twitch, and @rumblevideo because the model is so unique. ESPECIALLY in Kick's case, where they are giving creators 95% of their sub revenue. In most businesses, offsetting costs means bringing in more customers/users. In this space, bringing more streamers onto the platform means more revenue, but the costs go up exponentially to be able to service those streams. It's almost impossible to be profitable unless you get super creative because of the cost of live video. Twitch and Kick are lucky they have Amazon and Stake backing them and using their respective streaming service as a loss leader for their other products. Stake uses Kick to market their online casino, and Amazon uses Twitch to push their empire of offerings. All that to say - after seeing financials of a competitor, I now completely understand why Twitch needs to do the sub splits that they do (even still, their CEO said they're operating at a loss), and have a better understanding of what their and Kick's intentions are. So while we all see streamers grumbling at the way Twitch splits sub revenue, there IS a legitimate reason why they have to do it. It's not ideal, but it keeps the doors open.

FIRST, we have a very simple set of rules. There is no gray area with these and they will be strictly enforced by our community. One penalty and you're ❌. Each challenger MUST: 🎮 Stream 1 hour every single day for 365 straight days. Holidays, sick days, personal days, any other day is not excusable 🎮 Your face must be in the stream for a full hour 🎮 VODs of each daily stream must be viewable on your streaming platform of choice for us to review 🎮 You must include " Rio.Stream $50k Streaming Challenge Day #____" somewhere in your stream title to make it as easy as possible for us to confirm completion 🎮 You must use Rio's tipping embed in your streaming profile (100% free and zero fees) SECOND, this challenge will consist of just 12 total challengers. The first 6 slots are filled by our partnered streamers. The remaining 6 slots will be filled by people who comment on this post. Our partnered streamers will select 1 person each to partake in this challenge!
