I wanted to love @obsdmd for Android as it's Canadian but I don't, not yet. Made me think way too much, so frustrating. UI is awkward on a smartphone as it's trying to replicate the desktop UI and not succeeding. Subscribe to see my full review! noteapps.ca/obsidian-v1-0-5-…

Looks like Transo bit the dust. There was no activity since 2021 but it was a great app! I updated the page, added a `R.I.P.` banner, set the score to zero so it goes to the bottom at noteapps.softr.app/ and email'd the developer to see what happened

Replying to @Superlist
@Superlist is Wunderlist reborn: a good looking to-do app with support for notes, inline images, collaboration, and a generous free plan or $8/mo for Pro. Markdown support lacking noteapps.ca/superlist

I just published my Python @signalapp SQLite export to Markdown converter. It processes a CSV export obtained via @sqlitebrowser and now I have all of the messages with friends and family for the past 18 months inline with my other @obsdmd notes! github.com/thephm/signal_sql…

Finally at a point to share how I am managing my 3,400 person social network using plain #Markdown files and @obsdmd. Don't expect anyone else to do it but it feels good to share regardless! github.com/thephm/hal_md

Going to change my work on @Twitter. Increasing the positivity & good news & stopping the negativity. "Why?" I hear millions of you ask! Well it is because of the interesting talk I had with an elderly gent in the pub yesterday evening. 1/?

My 103rd Android #notetaking app review is up! @milanote is a companion app to their Web service and at that it's good. It has a clean user interface and it's fast but their free plan is too limited, the app doesn't stand on its own, and it's too expensive noteapps.ca/milanote/

Thanks @pkm_one for the lead on Merlin by @foyerwork which you mentioned in your newsletter. I didn't use it for my research but will! It's summary: - The Android app needs improvement and better pricing to be competitive - The Web app is visually appealing and worth exploring
