I will never understand people buying a monster hunter game, looking at a new mechanic like Wirebugs and just decide “No I don’t think I’ll use these”

4. Unlike the previous games, the story for this game is aimed at an older audience.
5. A clear answer isn't given on whether or not most of the monsters from the previous titles will return, but they wanted monsters that fit into Stories 3's world and story.

Hisuian Lilligant is based on victory onions which are long and have a noticeable reddish gradient on them. This is further emphasized by Hisuian Lilligant being the only Pokémon to learn Victory Dance

There’s also the fact Nosk seems to turn into a target’s loved ones which initially the Knight does have, but Winged Nosk becomes Hornet which may or may not imply a connection there
