So big shout out to our Circular team in both Australia and Singapore. They're an exceptional bunch, and like most startups we have a 'few' doing the work of 'many'. Since our Head of People joined earlier this year, they've partnered with our Leadership Team to drive a renewed focus on creating a high performing workplace that enables creativity, fosters social connections, and encourages personal development. We don't think this is a task that will ever be "ticked off" our To Do list, but it seems like we're moving in the right direction.

Great to see the European Union leading the way in making #tech more #sustainable and repairable. Replaceable batteries will make it easier to refurbish devices and for us to put them into the hands of a second, third or even fourth subscriber. Getting more out of a single device is critical to powering the #circulareconomy; and most importantly, at the end of the device lifecycle it gets properly #recycled rather than ending up in landfill or sitting in your bottom drawer gathering dust.
According to this article the EU's new rules will come into force in 2027; under the legislation, consumers must be able to "easily remove and replace” portable batteries used in devices such as smartphones, tablets, and cameras. This will necessitate a significant redesign.
