New AI Mode Data: how often does the AI Mode tab show on Google across devices in the US? While the tab does show quite frequently, it is not a default tab in the sense that it shows for every query at all times. This is based on a 3,049 query dataset that was sent to me by the team at @nozzleio who have created a custom segment within my tracking dashboard. Here are some key insights: • On desktop, the AI Mode tab was showing the most at 84% of the time (for 2,563 queries) • On mobile, the AI Mode tab was showing slightly less often at 80% of the time (for 2,443 queries) • The frequency of appearance has remained mostly flat since it became a default tab in the US So while the AI Mode tab is being pushed quite aggressively by Google, there is still 16-20% of the time where it doesn't show at all, but I suspect this will increase over time.
