OBS Studio 32.1 is now available!
Alongside the usual tweaks and fixes, this release continues our steady work tidying up the codebase.
This release features a complete rewrite of the Audio Mixer, cleaning up code, and adding new functionality.

Next release we're aiming to update the workflow for adding sources by replacing the popup menu with a new window, which includes previews.
We are looking for more users to test this update and provide us feedback.

Please review this list to see if you may have been affected, as well as our other changes in response to this.

As noted in the thread, this only affects downloads of these resources via the forums.
While the obs-websocket forum resource was briefly affected, only about 80 downloads of that occurred.
The version of obs-websocket bundled with OBS and available via GitHub was NOT affected

This release features major code clean up and UI overhauls to the Add Source dialog and Audio Mixer.

ALT A new window for adding sources in OBS. The left sidebar contains a list of source types, and a 'Recently Added' entry at the top which is selected. The right part of the window shows a list of sources and features thumbnails for each source.
ALT An updated Audio Mixer in OBS Studio. Entries for audio items are displayed vertically in the mixer. Newly featured at the top is a category label for each entry. The first two entries state Global, and the following items all state Active. The normal mixer features follow, including the name, volume level, and volume sliders. At the bottom the usual Mute button is included, alongside a new button with a Headphone icon for audio monitoring. The bottom toolbar now has a button for toggling hidden sources, and easier access to the other mixer options.

OBS is primarily developed by a dedicated community of volunteers and part of that process is testing new changes.
The flexibility of OBS means everyone uses it differently and we cannot catch everything. The easiest way to give back to the project is to help test!

OBS Studio 32 is now available!
This release comes with our initial version of the Plugin Manager! We've also made additions and optimizations to NVIDIA RTX filters, and added hybrid MOV support.

New users will start with better default settings!
Our crash resistant Hybrid MP4 video container (Hybrid MOV on macOS) is now the default recording format.
We also decided it's probably safe to bump up the default streaming bitrate to 6000 after being set to 2500 since 2015.
