🇫🇷🇻🇺 France as a research engine! @OGalyNC Associate Prof. at @unc_nc co-leads the 🇪🇺 FALAH project on family farming, the 1st "Horizon 2020" funding in the Pacific: €1.2 million over 4 years, a network of 95 🇫🇷🇩🇪🇦🇹🇻🇺🇸🇧🇫🇯🇦🇺 researchers. The program includes research visits (5 🇻🇺 PhD students have already spent a month in Montpellier) and 10 scientific events. The one just completed in Port Vila was the 5th.

Opening day for the first FALAH conference!! The ceremony began with the dancers accompanying the officials, followed by the welcome speeches, and ended with a group photo and the sharing of the traditional Vanuatu drink, Kava.
