I just learned about the 100 block rule. Holy shit, it's over for the legacy chain. Who's going to drag their feet mining shitty spam blocks when you have to bite your nails for 17 hours unable to dump your profits knowing all your work's going to get re-orged?

After an exciting month of seeing 4 BIP-110 blocks being mined, I put together some info to help understand what activation might look like. As we continue to grow in hashrate, BIP-110's success, and therefor Bitcoin's success becomes inevitable.

This data humors the idea of a chain split, and while the odds of one seem to vanish every day, I believe a BIP-110 chain would be a superior asset once its difficulty settles and it's able to produce blocks every 10 minutes. Ultimately this would reorg the legacy chain.

Of course these values assume constant hashrate, but in reality BIP-110's chain would attract more hashrate as difficulty decreases and the legacy spam chain loses relative value.
Hats off to Dathon and Luke, this is going to be a wild year for Bitcoin.

I'm all for more node implementations, but I doubt @ProductionReady will do anything to help Bitcoin's spam crisis. They'll use their "conservative" stance to justify more uninformed fence sitting as we've already seen from influencers like Samson Mow

True conservatism doesn't mean rolling the default mempool filters back anymore. After core v30 our network is happy to accept anything you can fit in 1MB chunks. The only way to protect Bitcoin is activating BIP-110. Tone deaf influencer hype trains aren't going to save us.

You really can't blame the shitcoiners for attacking Bitcoin with their spam. After such a pitiful excuse for an "alt season" I'd be jumping ship to Bitcoin too. Time for scammers to start looking for a real job, BIP-110 is coming.
