Speech & language therapists (SLTs) are vital in addressing eating, drinking and swallowing (EDS) difficulties. SLTs work with a healthcare team to offer quality care. EDS problems may signal underlying issues, leading to severe health risks affecting individuals & their families

#BigGardenBirdWatch this weekend engaging service users in meaningful activities…making bird feeders, safe use of tools, hanging feeders & finally sitting mindfully recording the birds they saw. Great way of connecting with nature & our wider communities @cwpnhs @Natures_Voice

On what would have been Kate’s birthday, a reminder to all, of the significance of these words. We teach our students the importance of ‼️#hellomynameis ‼️ very early on in our Occupational Therapy curriculums. Thank you Kate - your legacy lives on! 🙏🙏🙏

Children from trauma related backgrounds often struggle with self-regulation .A specific area to start from is the bottom-up approach. Addressing the bodily sensations & limbic reactions. It's about regulating the nervous system to restore balance & reconnect the body .🧠🌱
