OVHcloud strengthens its European presence with the opening of its first datacenter in Italy. 🇮🇹
🚀 First datacenter in Italy and first 3 A-Z region outside of France
With 26 of its 43 global #datacenters located in Europe, this new facility in Italy further solidifies OVHcloud’s roots on the continent. This exciting development also comes with the launch of a new 3 Availability Zone (3 AZ) region in Lombardy.
Scheduled for the end of 2025, the Milan 3-AZ region will provide highly secure #publiccloud services tailored to the needs of the most demanding clients. It will ensure maximum resilience and a high level of security, meeting the expectations of European businesses.
🌍 Accelerating international expansion
The opening of the new Italian datacenter adds to a wave of international deployments, including Mumbai, Toronto, and Sydney.
With 44 datacenters and 28 Local Zones currently in operation worldwide, the Group has invested €1 billion in products and infrastructure since its IPO in 2021, as part of its cumulative growth CapEx. This commitment has notably resulted in the launch of ten new datacenters since 2021.
OVHcloud thus reaffirms its ambition to become a leading global #cloud provider, supported by a large-scale deployment plan. The Group is planning to open additional Local Zones around the world, including presence in Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
