Well done to Tom Emerson for taking on this usage in the ACT. He is introducing a bill to ban gambling donations in the ACT.
Vested interests have far too much power over the major parties and communities pay the price.
This is a sensible step that ACT Labor & Liberals should support.

Banning gambling ads to protect young Australians is not a left vs right issue.
Weāre seeing yet again vested interests control of the major parties meaning the Australian people lose.
MPs across the Parliament support stronger action on gambling ads. If there was a conscience vote on a full ban, as was recommended by the Murphy Review, it would pass.

Launceston Tasmania last night, wet weather, a very wet track. First video is 3 year old "Sketchy Takeover", bumped twice, suffered a "torn left hind digit 5 toenail, and a possible fracture of digit 3".
Other video is when he fell November in Victoria. In June last year he suffered a serious muscle tear.

Releasing weak exposure draft legislation on gambling late on a Friday afternoon is unfortunately so typical of the approach of the Albanese Govt on this important issue.
They know Australians want a full gambling ad ban but they're going for a patchy ban that won't protect Australian children from being exposed to gambling ads - 3 per hour and then unlimited after 8.30pm, including during the half time of live sport.
We need to do better and I'll keep pushing to legislate a full gambling ad ban which the majority of the community supports.
