creators are getting marathon brand deals... and not to talk about Destiny 3 🥴

i love Destiny AND Marathon a lot, and i hope that both games can coexist; but if marathon has to die for D3, i will take that trade in every single universe

RT @LUCKYY10P: 72 million people played Destiny 2. 25,000 played Concord. These games don’t belong in the same conversation.

Brother I went as far as to message the damn CEO, VP, and others on LinkedIn. This fight is far from over. Fuck going into that good night at all. RAGE AGAINST THE DYING OF THE LIGHT.
Perhaps one last moment of defiance.

I have seen the cutscene in question. No spoilers in this thread. I am utterly livid. The devs who worked so hard on Destiny for years, who knew where things were going and the potential that was ahead. They all deserved so much better.

An Open Letter to the Destiny 2 Development Team To the Destiny Dev Team, Today was a bittersweet day for so many reasons and in so many ways. Destiny has been our home for the last twelve years. From our first encounter with Atheon in the Vault of Glass, to climbing Felwinter Peak in Rise of Iron, through our battles against Oryx and our adventures deep within the underbelly of Calus’ Leviathan, Destiny has been there through every chapter. There are so many moments that made our lives better because of this game. The raids. The destinations. The stories. The weapons. The first Gjallarhorn. The friendships. I could go on forever. Destiny will always hold a special place in my heart. It was a huge part of my adult life and offered me an escape during difficult times. It gave me a place to spend time with friends, even when distance separated us. No matter what was happening in life, there was always Destiny. It wasn’t just a game to me, and it wasn’t just a game to millions of others. It was a gathering place. A place where friendships were forged. A place where memories were made. A place where we could live out our space-fantasy dreams. It was my happy place. Home. After The Final Shape, I stepped away. My dog became terminally ill, and my priorities shifted. But even during that time, my love for Destiny never faded. I always knew that someday I would return. Today was that day. Returning felt familiar, comforting, and bittersweet all at once. It reminded me why I fell in love with this universe in the first place. But it was also sad because I realized that, in many ways, this marks the end of an incredible journey and the uncertainty of something that could have been. I want to thank every developer who helped build this world. Every voice actor. Every community manager. The love, passion, and care you poured into Destiny have always been visible, but nowhere was it more apparent than in Monument of Triumph. From the Director to the Tower, from the overwhelming amount of additions to the return of SRL, from endgame activities to countless small details that longtime Guardians wanted for so long , you can feel the love for the journey we’ve all shared together. Your hard work shines through. For twelve years, you brought us worlds worth exploring, stories worth following, challenges worth overcoming, and memories worth holding onto. You created something that became much bigger than a video game. You created a home. As Destiny enters its final chapter, I hope there continues to be a bright future ahead. For all of us! This universe deserves to live on. For every Guardian who has called it home. For every developer who helped bring it to life. For every lore enthusiast who spent hours piecing together its mysteries. For every fireteam that laughed, struggled, wiped, and ultimately succeeded together. Thank you for the adventures. Thank you for the memories. And most of all, thank you for Destiny. See you starside. ✨ #ThankYouForDestiny @Destiny2Team

It’s absolutely criminal that the joy and unity this franchise brings to people, which is genuinely unmatched in the gaming world, will be allowed to wither away. Sony, please, pay attention. #WeWantDestiny3
