I was involved in the case of CPSO where they tried to discipline Dr. @dockaurG b/c she had been outspoken about aspects of lockdowns.. Had a real chilling effect.. We need to look at legislation that governs these institutions & make sure they are prohibited from ever doing this sort of thing again.”

@dockaurG is and remains one of the health and human rights champions of a dark time in our history. Egregious lockdowns harmed far more than the helped, healthcare rationing left many without care. Family business were destroyed and mental health was at an all time low!

"Shocking" is an understatement...So grateful to this doctor @dockaurG and others, who were in the minority, who could not remain silent. Please know you were a lifeline to so many of us who felt we had no voice, despite your personal cost!

Ontario hospitals receive hundreds of millions in public funds. Secretly imposing and then stealthily withdrawing C19 💉 “science-based” policies that affect the health & wellbeing not just of staff, but the entire public, is unacceptable. Full disclosure & transparency needed.

Since 2020, the @cpso_ca has been persecuting Dr. @dockaurG for tweeting that --lockdowns don't work --waiting for a vax to lift lockdowns is harmful, --contact tracing covid was futile. All true statements. Today, Dr. Gill got her day in court. A thread. 1/5

The @cpso_ca argued: 1. The CPSO can -- in effect -- ignore the free speech rights of doctors because of the precautionary principle. 2. Doctors who contradict public health should be subject to discipline. 3. It doesn't matter if the doctor writes factually accurate things. 2/5

Dr. @dockaurG's lawyer pointed out that 1. Dr. Gill's tweets were not factually incorrect. 2. Even if that were not the case, she still has free speech rights. 3. That independent doctors serve as a necessary check on public health overreach. 3/5

Ultimately, the @cpso_ca's actions put Dr. @dockaurG through legal hell, damaged her reputation with falsehoods & chilled the speech of countless other doctors who were watching the events as they unfolded. 4/5
