Dear Microsoft, when I hit the Windows Start menu key and start typing a word to autocomplete a search, I never, ever, EVER want it to return results of something not on my computer. Ever. Like, ever, ever, never.

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it. Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying. Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence." Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter." Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter. They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created. One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility." Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies. That's the metered intelligence business model. And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.

You see an app demo. Beautiful GUI. Intuitive design. Appears to solve real problems. You ask: What's the tech stack? "Dev" says "I don't know". Because it's just frontend. No real data. Vibe coded with #AI. Dev wants to integrate across enterprise. How do you respond?

Happy 76th birthday to TRON himself, Bruce Boxleitner! He has portrayed TRON every time he has appeared in the franchise, and I can’t imagine anyone else in the role!

🚨BREAKING: Tennessee Designates June 2026 as "Nuclear Family Month"! Governor Bill Lee signed a non-binding resolution defining the nuclear family as “one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children,” describing it as the bedrock of society. The symbolic measure highlights traditional family values in the same month widely observed as Pride Month. This is BRILLIANT! Do you support this?

we went from "just copy the .exe file" to "first install docker, kubernetes, helm charts, and sacrifice a goat to deploy hello world" honestly embarrassing how deploying software somehow turned into a ritual remember when you could just... run things?

People are way too conditioned to everything being "free" (however it's not free, you are paying for it with your data). If you want high quality, open source, privacy respecting alternatives, stop complaining when they *optionally* ask for money. I will be buying Brave Origin.

Racist idiot assumes that the only way blacks and women can succeed is through DEI policies, not merit. These two were there on merit. Stop undermining their achievements.

Archaeology keeps surprising the critics. The Pool of Bethesda, the Pilate inscription, and the Caiaphas family tomb all line up exactly with the New Testament details. Every new dig strengthens the case that the Gospel writers were reporting real events in real places. The ground itself keeps testifying!

Highly, highly recommend everyone listen to and reflect on this podcast.
In order to shift the incentives of AI — the trillions of dollars in investment, the race to geopolitical power and dominance — it’s not enough to simply understand the problem, we need real action. That’s why CHT is releasing "The AI Roadmap," a report outlining seven core principles for how AI should be built, deployed, and governed, each grounded in real, implementable solutions across three domains: norms, laws, and product design: humanetech.com/ai-roadmap In the latest episode of Your Undivided Attention, Camille Carlton and Pete Furlong from CHT's policy team break down what it would actually take to hold AI companies accountable, protect human dignity, and get us off the default path toward a pro-human future.
