The more I try to be quiet about this, the more I realize people need to know what we are not talking about. A church revival was attacked. A pastor was killed. Families were torn apart in minutes. Among those taken were three siblings. Their mother, who had initially escaped by running away went back because her children were among those being taken. A church member rushed to help the pastor after the attack. He had an accident on the way too and by the time he regained consciousness, he was told his wife and 3 children had been abducted. The man lost his leg! Now, more than 40 days later, families are still waiting for answers.

The same parents who travel long distances to help/ grieve/ celebrate their friends? The ones greeting almost everyone from church to the market? They model alot about community and friendship. Alot of us think we're too good for mundane things. Let's be serious please.
I think our elders didn’t do a good job at modeling how friendship changes from adolescence/young adulthood to 30s and beyond. A lot of us think friendships are supposed to look & feel like they did when we were in high-school & college. & thats just not realistic.

My own issue is why are we opting out of things because they are hard? Everything worthwhile in this life is hard. Academic excellence, a good career, and excelling at a craft are hard. Maintaining friendships over seasons, staying married to one person for decades, raising
I’m gonna be real alot of you don’t think enough. When girls say that “no one told us motherhood was hard” I’m like baby… you have never thought of all the things your parents had to do for you? You never once were like I don’t wanna sacrifice all that? Like BE OBSERVANT,

And then, there's the rest of us: obviously not a baddie, not really a cutie patootie, something of a Taiga.
Not all of us can be baddies, it is okay to embrace being a cutie pattotie.

Taves has records with juls, with Melvitto. He has proven that he can SING. He has an unbeatable face card. His publicity is such an easy slam dunk, you’re here telling me his audience is not in naij? Please give me six months and a full budget, let me show you something.

Our language around governance is so interesting in Nigeria. We talk like when someone wins an election, the money and resources of the state become their personal largesse and any progress or work that happens is because they’re kind enough to “dash” us.

Valid.
My one wahala with how everyone looks at soluchi in “call of my life” is that she’s no saint. She wanted to be loved the way she wanted to be loved I don’t think she showed love to at least Kalu the way Kalu would’ve have wanted to be loved.

You’re a terrible person, Bola. You’re extremely wicked and I hope you know that if you escape judgement in this life, you will not escape it with God. The blood on your head and hands will stand against you. You will not escape it with God.
At my direction, following the visit of a high-level Federal Government delegation that I sent to the Esiele and Yawota communities in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, I have approved the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in collaboration with the Oyo State Government.

The way he tried to stay composed throughout his statement. The fact that those officials are sitting down while these families have to come out and look so helpless begging them. All so undignified. I hate it

I hate how this poor man is being videoed and has to be eloquent and respectful in his grief. I hate how the community members have to gather to host govt officials. I hate everything about this.
Watch the moment the husband of Mrs. Rachael Alamu, the principal abducted by bandits in Ogbomoso, breaks down in tears while pleading with Governor Seyi Makinde, who visited Oriire LG, to hasten the rescue operation for his wife and others.

Are you sure they did not clip this video ? I'm aware some of the alaga's ask them to bend, dance and even do funny things before eventually asking to prostrate. Because you people do anything for clout and Elon's coins.
The Igbo awareness is beginning to show. Let me see who will go and prostrate in the name of marrying Yoruba girl in 3 years time.
