During a very dark period, what was the best thing you ever did for your mental health?

That "skinny" girl lifting the bar recently gained 5lbs trying to overcome her eating disorder. That skinny kid on the bench press is trying to get stronger because he’s tired of being bullied. That young girl doing her workout wrong is new to the gym and struggling with addiction. That angry buff guy just lost his job and has no idea how he’s going to provide for his family. That "overweight" girl in tight clothes lost 30lbs and is only just starting to feel confident. That Mom lifting 5lbs is going through postpartum depression and just making it to the gym is a huge win for her. That guy sitting alone on the turf just lost his wife and his entire world is falling apart. Everyone is fighting demons we know nothing about. Never judge. Be kind always. 🙏🏼❤️

Lost a legend in sport. From his early work defining the physiology of running to his coaching book that brought easy to follow science of training to the masses, Daniels left a gigantic impact on the sport.
Jack Daniels, widely acknowledged as one of the most influential and successful running coaches and exercise scientists in the United States, died on September 12 at age 92. According to an email from his wife, Nancy, “He died happy after watching the Green Bay Packers win last night. He tested the Packers team when he was a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin, and has loved the team ever since.” runnersworldmag.visitlink.me…

Being professional is about attitude . And attitude is about learning and focussing on delivering process, not shortcuts or tricks, to achieve great goals.

Yes some betrayals break you forever. You may look ok from the outside but inside you’re never the same 💔
Have you ever had someone break your trust so bad ….. that it changed the way you live your life now

I’m finding myself looking forward to these “we do not care club” announcements more and more. 🤣🤣🤣

Happiness is not the absence of pain, but the ability to navigate it with grace and wisdom. Embrace your struggles and use them as opportunities to grow and learn.

Growth doesn’t come in the spotlight. It comes on quiet mornings, when no one is watching. When you lace up tired legs. When you show up anyway. Sport has a funny way of teaching us the habits of character. And those lessons? They stick with you long after the racing ends.

I used to tell the college athletes I coached: “This isn’t just about running. I’m preparing you for life.” Most didn’t believe me at the time. But a decade later, they all do now. Because what you learn on the track shows up everywhere. Running & Sport explains life.

You don’t have to be sick to get better. No matter how great your achievements to date, there is always something you could do better or differently to reach an even higher level tomorrow

Doing just enough might get you over the survival line but is only one step away from failure. It’s where losers live. Always pushing yourself to go beyond enough takes you to where you’ve never been before and is where winners live.

Seeing others behave dishonestly makes you more likely to be dishonest. Seeing people behave altruistically makes you more likely to be altruistic. Who you surround yourself with matters. Choose wisely.
