Today Minister Anroux Marais unveiled the plaque which declares a section of Thornton Road in Athlone as a Provincial Heritage Site. This site was a significant site of struggle in the 1980s.
Through the work of Heritage Western Cape, this site is now protected.

Please can departments in @CityofCT work to create complete streets and livable neighborhoods by adding landscaping to these large scale housing roll outs. Particularly larger established tree additions that will immediately create a sense of place and orientation.
