I have closely watched Sandeep sacrifice a whole lot in our college days at @IITKgp and afterward to achieve his dreams of becoming an IAS officer. He is a role model for many when it comes to determination and never giving up. Yesterday, I had the honor of recording a podcast with him. Watch our full conversation on YouTube youtube.com/watch?v=haNnakle… We talked about his preparation days, his adventurous life in Nation Police Academy and all the fun at LBSNAA. I also asked him some difficult questions you all had shared with me. So thank you for that! You can follow him at @SandeepJhaIAS The OrkoHunter Podcast Episode #2 #upsc2025 #upscMains #IAS #IPS #theorkohunterpodcast

Bullish on this!
After @Pinterest @Airbnb @NotionHQ @cursor_ai, today it’s @eoghan @intercom publicly sharing that they’re finding it better, cheaper, faster to use and train open models themselves rather than use APIs for many tasks. And hundreds of other companies are doing the same without sharing. Ultimately, I believe the majority of AI workflows will be in-house based on open-source (vs API). It took much more time than we anticipated but it’s happening now!

- you wake up - it was all a dream - openai never released chatgpt - vibe coding isn’t invented at all - you just have a $100K coding job - no need to scroll twitter 5hrs/day - life is calm

This has been said a thousand times before, but allow me to add my own voice: the era of humans writing code is over. Disturbing for those of us who identify as SWEs, but no less true. That's not to say SWEs don't have work to do, but writing syntax directly is not it.

Which products have nailed the user onboarding flow for both startups and enterprises? GitHub?

By the end of year, the industry will see a significant presence of AI agents when debugging production incidents. This thing is so brave when looking at logs/configs which I would get bogged down with. kubectl, aws, observability..it's not afraid to explore and find root cause!

"You think that you worked so hard to learn coding, and now machines are doing it. But what was the fire inside you, when you coded till night to see your project working? It was building. And now you can build more and better. The fun is still there" antirez.com/news/158

Programming has always been about expecting some error after writing the first version of the program. If your code worked the first time, you'd feel uneasy. AI is working the same way. Writing code (better than us) and then working through errors and reviews. What's wrong?

Everyone: Stack Overflow is dead. Where will AI get future Q&A training data? But take a step back. Q&A sites got popular because software docs were terrible. Devs need to start using AI to write docs. They perform much better by looking at the code - the source of truth.
