The Living Word of God is Jesus Christ, he is the means of salvation, and He gave us a Church, not a book. The scriptures point to Him, and He is inseparable from His Church. It is the fullness of the faith, the pillar and grounding of Truth ☦️

My biggest problem with Roman Catholicism and Orthodoxy is that they make their traditions and interpretations obligatory for salvation, where the Bible doesn't.
We'll see where they are 5 years from now.

Today marks 10 years since I was received into the Orthodox Church.
The depth of healing, peace, and friendship with Christ is beyond all joys. It truly does sink in more every year, and bring a little more meaning to life. Nothing in any of the denominations or religions I explored before compares to the traditions Christ gave us through the Apostles that draw us into the life of the Trinity. It is a life of faith that is formed through works. It is a real relationship in the eucharist, not only with Christ, but with all my Orthodox family on earth and in heaven.
May we be one as Christ and the Father are one.
Lord, help me live it. Help me not forsake the pearl of great price you have brought me. 🙏☦️

That's sad because the Christian faith is not an intellectual assent. It is for the babes, the infirmed,even those with great mental incapacity. The Christian is becoming something, being restored, a partaker of the divine nature, not something learned in a book, only in Christ☦️

It seems the more studied and more intellectual protestants are less likely to become Roman Catholic or Orthodox.

Don’t be fooled.
“You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life" John 5:39–40
For the Church is Christ.
"And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body..." Ephesians 1:22–23
And Each of us are part of Him in the Church
"Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."
1 Corinthians 12:27
He promised the Church it will be guided by the Holy Spirit
“When He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth” John 16:13
So the Church holds the Truth for
“the church is the pillar and foundation of the truth" 1 Timothy 3:15
Therefore Trust the Church Traditions
“So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter." 2 Thessalonians 2:15.
Do not be fooled by strange doctrines and false interpretations
“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” 2 Peter 1:20
And Therefore
“Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings” Hebrews 13:9
As St Paul feared:
“For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it! 2 Corinthians 11:4
Nevertheless we are assured
“I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18
