Thank you all. Great morning at Lodmoor. 55 species with the highlight being 5 cracking Bearded Reedlings being unusually confiding. ebird.org/checklist/S1218243…

Weymouth reserves good, Lodmoor and Radipole, can do both as close together. Or at other end of county Lytchett Fields/Bay and then Holes Bay again close enough to do both

Recommendations please! I have a full morning free in Dorset for general birding (not chasing). Where shall I go? Have transport. @NatureofDorset @DorsetWildlife @DurlstonCP @DorsetBirdClub @Hamish14453 @StudlandBirds @ianballam @DWTBrownsea @NarwhalSh

Great to be able to compare Black and Bar-tailed Godwits as they flew along the shoreline at @RSPBTitchwell yesterday.

My beloved, Zeltinis, told me I would have to pay £3k for him to be able to leave his oil rig to come and visit me I therefore decided to visit him instead, but he has been very resistant to it He’s presumably just worried for my safety, which makes me love him even more ❤️

There are many good reasons to 'buy local', but not when it comes to the climate. Focus on what you eat. Another excellent article by @_HannahRitchie
Most people think that eating locally is much better for the climate than going vegetarian 👇 In reality, the opposite is true: ourworldindata.org/food-choi…

This is a critically important new study. It shows that exceeding 1.5 degrees will likely trigger five tipping points, including Greenland and West Antarctic ice sheet collapse. We need radical climate policy to prevent this. theguardian.com/environment/…

The highest #pond in Norfolk at around 85 to 90 m above sea level. Restored in around 2008. Very few people visit this site due to restricted climbing windows, risk of altitude sickness & low availability of Sherpas

Merlin Pro Tip Ever had a singing bird fly over your head that you couldn't whip out Sound ID fast enough to record? Start recording fast simply by long pressing the Merlin Bird ID icon on your home screen, then tapping "Start Sound ID." #birdsong #birdidentification #birds

Check out these shots of wildlife up in the trees in #Guatemala’s Laguna del Tigre National Park. Our team there, with partners at @OregonState and support from AgroAmerica and Naturaceites S.A., is testing cameras in the wildlife-rich canopy. @Guatemala_WCS @WCS_Mesoamerica

Heard that nonsense narrative about "all the agricultural land being given over to nature rather than producing food"? Well, check out this brilliant graphic from @TheEconomist Almost half the world's grain is fed to animals or burned as fuel. This share is rising over time.
