These trial sites are pure gold for discussing different ideas together, such as approaches to growing canola.
Once you can see what tools are available, it's much easier to visually when and how you might plant, sprayer clearance, competitiveness and weed control, harvesting, etc etc.

Post-harvest deep soil sampling under way @CSIRO @theGRDC Greenethorpe FS trial for the 8th season. Good moisture below 1.1-1.2m in faba plots, below root depth. Depending on summer rainfall & if keep high surface stubble cover, this residual moisture will benefit 2026 canola đź‘Ť

Scored this trial today, canola on 2024 lupins after 2022 canola so a high risk situation. 1 wet day in spring and a dry winter resulted in only finding 1 sclero plant out of ~1300 plants assessed. Upper canopy blackleg more common but not bad levels
