The fight for basic legal existence is within living memory, and in many places it isn't over. You're calling a community that still buries its own to hate crimes "privileged" because they object to a religious framework that explicitly condemns their existence. That is not analysis. That is contempt. Opposing religious fundamentalism isn't racism. It wasn't racism when people opposed Section 28. It wasn't racism when people challenged the Catholic Church's stance on homosexuality. It isn't racism now.
