Great news! Legislation introduced by @RepTimBrennan that increases workers' comp burial benefits from $7,000 to $20,000 just passed the House 190-12! When someone dies at work, their family shouldn't have to worry about struggling to afford their funeral.

If you know me, you know I’m competitive as hell. Right now, all of our neighboring states are out-competing us when it comes to the minimum wage — using their higher hourly wage to attract more workers and do more business. So let’s raise our minimum wage to $15/hour — and keep competing.

A lot has changed in 16 years — but Pennsylvania’s minimum wage still hasn’t. It’s time to move on and raise the wage.

4 out of our 6 neighboring states have minimum wages that are more than double Pennsylvania's paltry $7.25/hour. How long will the Senate Republicans make us wait? PA's workers need a raise!

Roughly 4 million Pennsylvanians do not have paid family and medical benefits. The Family Care Act is an investment in more jobs, happier employees, more stable businesses and hundreds of millions of dollars in economic growth to build a better Pennsylvania. #paidfamilyleave

Inbox: State Sen. Maria Collett (D., Montgomery), who also sponsors a paid family leave bill, says "no more excuses" for her chamber to vote on a proposal following the House action. The Senate passed her bill out of committee in June 2024, but hasn't touched it this session.

The Family Care Act, introduced by @RepOMara, passed the House 107-92 yesterday! This bill would provide Pennsylvania workers with paid leave when they have a child, experience a serious health condition, or care for a sick family member.

Once again, the House has passed a bill to raise the Commonwealth's minimum wage. How much longer will Senate Republicans make Pennsylvanians wait for a raise while the cost of living continues to climb?
Yesterday, for the third time in four years, PA House Democrats passed a bill to #RaisetheWage. Once again, it now up to our colleagues in the Senate to finally take action and help workers. pahouse.com/Dawkins/InTheNew…
