So wonderful to hear the benefits #slt#slpeeps gain from participation in @PDCOMM_trial, large, multi centred #trial! Research benefits from real-world therapist expertise, clinically relevant participants making finding more relevant to real patients.
It had its challenges certainly especially to balance our time in research vs our day to day ward based role! But the experience gained and skills will set us in amazing stead for the future! Helps hugely to have a supportive manager too 😃
#pdcomm_trial and other multicentre projects is an excellent way to engage with research in clinical practice. Thanks for such positive feedback about your involvement #ReSNetSLT#RCSLT

#ResNetSLT myself and @hannah_treloar being involved in the @PDCOMM_trial, EBP including literature reviews and MDT members supporting each other to develop research involvement and research ideas through our AHP RD&I committee including @SimpsonResearch
Great to hear that #PDCOMM is having this effect: "we would strongly recommend the experience to any SLT thinking of being involved in any research trial." Thanks for all your efforts @SltLucy and @hannah_treloar!
My lovely fellow SLTs @SltLucy and @hannah_treloar@WaltonCentre write about their experiences participating in the multi-centre @PDCOMM_trial!
A great example how SLTs can be research-active alongside clinical practice, including the benefits and challenges along the way 💫

Well done. Isn’t it great to be part of a research network @PDCOMM_trial Thanks for all your work in ensuring the trial is successful. We will have good evidence for slt with people with Parkinson’s @ClinAcSLT
Thanks to @PDCOMM_trial for our prize! We recruited the fourth patient in November to our Parkinson's study 😀 We will enjoy the countdown to Christmas #bepartofresearch

Good advice @ClinAcSLT don’t hold back. Academics, certainly clinical academics always happy to talk about ideas and help with applications for PhD and funding (two separate processes). Get in touch. @LNWH_SLT@PDCOMM_trial@SLPeeps
