Portland city councilor Tiffany Koyama-Lane (i.e. Teacher Tiffany!) is obviously using some of that sweet city and public union money to put out some propaganda about how she engages “collaborative governance.” The “Year One” statement sounds eerily similar to the murderous Cambodian - the Khmer Rogue - communists’ “Year Zero.” Of course, TKL had to mention her oppression credentials, referencing her being the first (half) Asian-American on the city council and referencing her great-grandparents WW2 incarceration. Of course, there was no mention of the Japanese treatment of Korean comfort women or the Nanking Slaughter - basically stuff that would give the chills to a Nazi - but I guess those historical whoopsies don’t count when it comes to the Oppression Olympics. TKL is up for election in November in District 3. She has raised the most money due to her connections to the teacher’s union. Remember on Election Day to say “never again, Satan!” and don’t rank her.

In late October of 2024, Loretta Guzman called 911 because her nephew had been shot. After hearing at least 10 shots, she needed police to secure the scene and an ambulance to try to save his life. Instead, she got a recording. He died before help arrived. Portland deserves better. Help us get the Safer Portland initiative on the ballot. We have until the end of June to gather more than 41,000 qualified signatures and are over halfway there. Please sign, share, bring a friend, volunteer, or help host petitions at your business. It’s always interesting that those who yell about being “pro-choice” are anti-choice when it comes to anything but abortion.
Public schools welcome and educate every child regardless of their background or income, and public funding should stay in public schools. The Big Ugly Bill’s voucher scam is a backdoor way to dismantle public education and divert public resources into private institutions - including religious schools. Research consistently shows that the majority of families participating in voucher programs already send their children to private schools. We must keep federal funding in public schools where all students can benefit.

You’re right. You live in New York. He should have been more clear.
The senator from Texas seems just as confused about my FISA reform bill as he is about what state I've represented for many years

Oregon’s clean energy policies (Net Zero) are the major factor in why our energy bills are going up exponentially. Refusing to access the state’s significant reserves of natural gas and relying too heavily on expensive and unreliable renewables, such as wind and solar, both weakens our grids and makes power failures more likely.
Too many Oregonians and Americans are struggling to pay their energy bills, but Trump's Department of Energy is making it worse. They slashed more than 400 million dollars from clean energy projects in our state and Energy Secretary Wright said that prices are going to be “high and maybe even rising.” The Department of Energy should care about the American people, not just their fossil fuel friends.   @sciencedems

Portland has more residents than it did in 1991, but fewer police officers. Yesterday I spoke with Portland Police Association President Aaron Schmautz about police staffing, specialized units, and the Safer Portland Initiative. The campaign says it needs approximately 41,000 more signatures by the end of June to qualify for the ballot. More info here: SaferPortland.com

In a @wweek article today, it is reported that the city's affordable housing portfolio is quickly falling into insolvency. Mayor Wilson stated: “The risk we face is not distant or hypothetical. Barring swift action, major housing assets may cease operations in as little as six months.” We have reported on issues facing affordable housing properties for over 2 years. Residents are reporting that the properties often taken over by drug traffickers and squatters, and often report significant damages caused by other residents in the middle of drug and mental illness crises. The residences are often very dangerous places to live. In the last year, the city has agreed to give over $16 million in funds to 11 affordable housing properties for PSI (Property Stabilization Investments). Many of these properties are under the Central City Concern portfolio, an organization that already receives $160 million per year in funding. This announcement comes at the heals of Portland's public housing authority's, Home Forward, CEO resigned after it was found she had used over $100k of agency-funded money in order to travel. Below is a list of affordable housing properties and what they are receiving in fund over the next year. Portland's affordable housing portfolio all follows Housing First guidelines. Many cities, including San Francisco, are moving away from Housing First because it continues to not only fail the people it is supposed to help, but it also is incredibly costly for cities like Portland, which are quickly falling into economic crisis themselves.

Socialists aren’t “progressives.” The progressives actually lost in these elections. @Oregonian is an embarrassment to reporting.
Oregon progressives notched 2 upsets in last month’s election. Here’s how it could affect politics in Salem oregonlive.com/politics/2026…

If after the foie gras ban in Portland was approved and you don't think IP28 (the PEACE Act that will make illegal any type of livestock production, hunting, or pest eradication illegal) won't pass, you're a fool. Communism wants to take it ALL down. One of communism's tactics is starvation of the masses, a la the Holodomor in Soviet Ukraine in the 1930's. Oregon has been the petrie dish for every insane leftist policy: Measure 110 and 114 were just the beginning. Both of those measures Oregon voted for. The leftists will vote for this just to take the system down.

From the dias yesterday when the Portland city council voted on a city-wide ban on foie gras, Councilor Steve Novick commented that he had a reservation at Le Pigeon at the end of June, and after the vote, he was concerned about keeping the reservation because someone might “spit in my meal.” A few thoughts: 1) Steve “F You in the Heart” Novick is obviously such a smug bastard that he is bragging about having dinner at one of Portland’s most elitist and expensive restaurants while most of the city, both residents and businesses, are struggling to stay financially afloat, while he and his cronies on the council continue to vote for more taxes and fees to bury his constituents into financial crisis. 2) Anyone at Le Pigeon who wants an extra $200, hit me up in my DM’s. 😉 3) Hey Steve! Perhaps if you stopped being such a disgusting jerk, you wouldn’t have to worry about such things? But hey, you do you. Btw, Lil’ Stevie is up for reelection in November, if anyone is taking notes. Angelita Morillo is already planning to replace him with the “7th Peacock.” Seems like he’s taking it from all sides.

I seriously doubt Morillo ever gets “sorry” over anything.
Just wondering, which are the "conservative newspapers in Portland that never verify anything"? I asked ChatGPT: chatgpt.com/c/6a2059cd-c844-… The reason I ask is this post from Morillo, which seems (on the verge of) libel.

US Secretary of the Treasury slams Oregon Senator @RonWyden about Wyden’s son’s business dealings with Epstein. Well worth a laugh!
🚨 OMG. SEC. SCOTT BESSENT JUST WENT THERE 🔥 SEN WYDEN (D): We don't want ramblings about the most corrupt regime in history, we want facts BESSENT: "And we'd like to hear what Adam Wyden and Jeffrey EPSTEIN talked about. Your son's largest investment position was Rick's Cabaret. So, did your son and Jeffrey Epstein talk about pole dancing as he begged him for money using your limited credibility?" ASSASSIN.

Everything in Portland continues to become more expensive as absolutely nothing is done to increase public safety or affordability. On their own, Portland water bills are now over $2k per year for the average household. oregonlive.com/politics/2026…
