Every time the Liberals announce a plan to lower food costs, you can count on two things: ✔️Food will remain expensive ✔️The media will give them glowing reviews anyways No mention of failed plans from the past decade, just applause for recycled proposals with new names.

Carney's Agriculture Minister says Conservatives aren't "talking to farmers". Did he forget that multiple Conservative MPs, including me, ARE farmers, who continue to live on and grew up on farms - and who represent the VAST majority of rural communities in Canada? We are well aware of just how much Carney's top-down European style, bureaucratic, out of touch and expensive agriculture policies hurt Canada's rural communities, and drive up costs in grocery stores. Conservatives will continue to fight for common sense policies and solutions so Canada's hardworking farmers, ranching families, and local agricultural businesses can thrive and sustain rural ways of life -- just as we always have!

Last year, Mark Carney promised many times that he would create "free trade in Canada by Canada Day" by removing federal interprovincial barriers. According to today's statement from the Minister, does it sound like we have free trade in Canada? Why then did he promise this?

I’m old enough to remember when the Liberals promised they’d bring about free trade in Canada by Canada Day of 2025. So if the Minister is saying this is the provinces' fault, why did Mark Carney promise free trade in the first place?

Conservatives helped get Bill C-5 over the finish line because we want to speed up the building of major projects in Canada. But almost a year after its creation and over $40 million later, this is what the Major Projects Office has to show for itself. Watch:

Do you think the Canada Infrastructure Bank should be loaning $1 billion to B.C. Ferries to purchase Chinese-made ships? I think not, especially when we have shipbuilders right here at home.

Mark Carney really wants a permanent rupture with our closest customer and the all the folks in this video in favour of a strategic partnership for a new world order with the dictatorship in Beijing? Seriously unhinged.

Absolutely heartbreaking news in Cobourg yesterday evening. A young officer was taken from us far too soon. My prayers are with Sergeant Brandon Malcom's family at this time, as well as with his colleagues at the Northumberland OPP. Your community mourns with you.
The OPP is mourning the tragic loss of one of our officers who was killed in the line of duty in Cobourg today. On Monday, April 27, 2026, shortly after 5:30 p.m., members of the Northumberland OPP responded to a report of a single‑vehicle motorcycle collision on Highway 401 near Burnham Street North. An OPP officer was pronounced deceased at the scene. The officer has been identified as Sergeant Brandon Malcolm. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. We recognize the profound impact of this loss and extend our heartfelt thoughts to the officer’s loved ones, colleagues, and all those affected. Anyone with information related to this incident, including dashcam or video footage, is asked to contact 1‑888‑310‑1122. The Liberals are using a 2.96% increase in their House of Commons seat count to justify a 20% increase in their numbers on every single committee. Who’s playing “silly partisan games’?

Thank you for the invitation to speak at the Northumberland Manufacturers’ Association Fireside Chat at Dalewood Golf Club in Cobourg, alongside my colleague MP @PLawrenceCAN As Shadow Minister for Canada–U.S. Trade, Its important to hear directly from industry leaders. The discussion on CUSMA and interprovincial trade comes at a critical time. While our manufacturing sector remains resilient, uncertainty is weighing on investment, supply chains & long-term planning. Stable, predictable trade relationships are essential for Canadian manufacturers to compete and lead. We also need to be clear-eyed about the challenges. Canada has lost over 40,000 manufacturing jobs in the past year, while the United States has added hundreds of thousands. Promised progress on a new trade deal has yet to materialize and mixed signals risk undermining confidence when it matters most. If we are not making things here at home, we are not growing our economy or supporting Canadian workers. We need a serious plan to strengthen trade and back our manufacturers. All proceeds from event supported the NMA’s High School Student Awards, helping local students pursue careers in manufacturing and the skilled trades. Liberals: We want to be a unifying government, it is our our duty to reach across the aisle of the House of Commons to work with other parties on solutions. Also the Liberals:
Canada is facing a dangerous and divided world. For the past year, under the leadership of @PierrePoilievre - @CPC_HQ MPs have blocked, delayed and obfuscated all government business in committee. This is not opposition - its just partisan obstruction - and it ends now.

The Liberals got less than 44% of the votes in the last election. Thanks to their aggressive recruitment of floor-crossers, they now have 51.4% of the seats in the House of Commons. They now seek to ram through changes that will give them 58% of the seats on committees.
Our government is committed to working hard on an ambitious agenda to build Canada strong.   Liberals now comprise a majority of MPs in the House of Commons.   Prime Minister Mark Carney and his government are determined to work constructively both in the House and in parliamentary committees.   There is an undeniable, long-standing principle in Parliament: a party that has the majority of seats in the House also has a majority in committees.   For that reason, I intend to give notice of a motion that reflects this principle to be considered in the House in the coming days.

I worked in the department of finance from 2007 to 2009. I'm well aware of how the bank implemented forward guidance and conditional commitments... both of which lead to the disastrous and negligent promises of the governor in 2020 saying interest rates would remain low for a very long time. That encouraged canadians to gorge on debt and bid up real estate. Many of whom are now in negative equity positions. But yes, continue to play defence for the Prime Minister's purposeful sloppy choice of words.
