Drones aiding mountain rescuers?
#technology helps cut the time for searching injured tourists in half, & providing first aid is twice as fast
📍 Drones help with:
🔹 View on hard-to-reach terrains
🔹 Identifying steep & dangerous gullies
🔹 Sending precise coordinates for response

💬 Two drones are already being used in Bansko – one with a thermal camera and one without. Every minute is valuable, especially in the mountains!
🚨 Another good news – the 4th emergency helicopter is already in #Bulgaria

🖤 С огромна болка и тъга научихме за трагичната загуба на трима наши колеги и приятели от Български Червен кръст – Монтана, които загинаха при тежка пътнотранспортна злополука.
Инж. Мая Ройдева – дългогодишен директор на областната организация, Надка Чипева и Розалин Лазаров бяха не просто служители, а хора с мисия – всеотдайни, състрадателни и напълно отдадени на каузата на БЧК.
Само ден преди трагедията те бяха на терен заедно с доброволци и колеги, в помощ на пострадалите от наводненията в областта – раздаваха вода, храна и подаваха ръка на хора в беда.
Те не бяха просто част от екипа – те бяха сърцето на организацията. Хора, които вдъхват надежда в най-трудните моменти.
🖤 Изказваме най-искрени съболезнования към техните семейства, близки, колеги и всички, които ги познаваха. Загубата е тежка не само за БЧК, но и за хората, които разчитаха на тяхната доброта и сила.
Нека почиват в мир.

Jassen Slivensky, Operations Manager at the @BGRedCross visited the MGH to explore potential areas of collaboration. The CGS Co-Director guided him through a series of activities, including trauma & ICU rounds, discussions on integrated trauma programs & prehospital care.

✔️ As part of its disaster and crisis response program, and w/ the support of the #EU4HEALTH & @IFRC_Europe , @BGRedCross successfully conducted training for 112 volunteer psychologists from across the country.
📜Over 4 days, participants underwent training in Psychological First Aid, Psychosocial Support, Crisis Intervention, Restoring Family Links & First Aid.
📍The training took place btw January 23-26, 2025, at the National Training and Logistics Center in Lozen.
