Precise active shift data. No manual tagging needed. 🏒 New Feature: Automatic Shift Detection for Ice Hockey delivers accurate, automated insights into each active shift, making it easier to understand true player workloads. Now you can track game and practice demands side by side, identify patterns, and design training that meets the realities of competition. Spend less time tracking and more time focusing on what moves your team forward. #IceHockey #SportsPerformance #UnleashPotential

Might consider calling them “players” instead. Basketball, football, hockey, chess, or e-sports players are all playing a game. Not all athletes are players and not all players are athletes.
Webster defines an athlete: “a person trained or skilled in exercises, sports, or games requiring physical strength, agility, or stamina.” IMO, e-athletics don't require any of the above. Mental stamina yes, but not physical. They don't use strength or agility. That's my line.

Dimmers on light switches. What was your focus for the day? Did you accomplish what you wanted to?
4 things to measure throughout the in-season week - volume - quality - density - contact Ex week for "skill" position volume = distance quality = high speed efforts density = high speed efforts / time contact = collisions / player load

Hockey players should sprint on-ice, not off-ice 🤷🏻‍♂️
Post your S&C take that will get you cancelled.

Words can’t describe how much I’m going to miss him. One of the biggest honors of my life was seeing Steve’s strength in person and calling his family my own. I love you, Mr. Smith ❤️
“He’s the toughest fullback I’ve ever seen.” Rest in peace to the great Steve Smith 🖤

Just a reminder. Diagnoses aren't collectables and our bodies aren't museums. It's okay to let diagnoses go. You HAD bursitis in 1984. You HAVEN'T had bursitis since 1984.

You should consider a flywheel
Beyond a pair of shoes and a barbell, the more sophisticated the equipment, the worse the exercise.

This is really sad to see. So sorry for Rocky and his family, but a much bigger loss for the Sharks.
#SJSharks associate coach Rocky Thompson will not return as a member of the coaching staff for the 2021-22 season. nhl.com/sharks/news/rocky-th…

Hope this makes some people think about track speed and on-ice speed…
Track speed is great for team sport Once you remember : ⁃Max speed never happens ⁃Reaction is irrelevant ⁃Pattern recognition = king ⁃Shape & angle is nonsense ⁃Agility matters ⁃There’s no finish line ⁃11 people r actively trying to stop you Etc
