On an island in the #Oswego River, I got to watch a fisher cat go fishing! Fishers are truly fascinating. Well worth a stop while paddling the #ErieCanal system, especially for one that's so curious and unafraid of the occasional human in his slow-moving kayak #PaddlersNY #Rivers

I've been meeting with communities across New York to help access federal water infrastructure funds. One thing stands out: Just how many Town Clerks, Mayors, Deputies and Engineers are out there trying to keep their communities safe. It is largely thankless but critical work!

Unusually exciting Monday in Syracuse! Advanced projects to create an environmental policy clinic, build out a watershed program in the Mohawk Valley, partner with EPA to fund water programs across Maple Kingdom/Northeast, and an evening paddle with visits from a bat and osprey!
