A fire ravaged the medieval heart of Dinan, France, on Saturday night.
In this video we see the Maison Pourcel, one of the oldest buildings in the city which was built in 1458, engulfed by flames. It is heartbreaking to see the destruction of beautiful built heritage.

Im seeing a lot of reports saying that the stone structure has survived as it is non-combustible. Whilst that’s true it’s way to early to determine how badly the structure has been damaged. Here’s some research on the effects of fire on stone.
