The delusion that being big, fast, and strong equates to dominance is the biggest misunderstanding of football. You think athleticism is the ultimate stat, but you fail to realize that the US isn't even the most athletic country on earth.
I’m under the belief that if America’s best athletes like Randy Moss, Deion Sanders, LeBron etc played soccer their whole lives the U.S. would win literally every #WorldCup.

Raphinha in the 10, luis Henrique on the right. Brazil 4-1 at the back keeping it safe and preventing deadly morrocan counters

Morroco in a 3-1-6 in possession, Diaz inverting, hakim overlapping, Amrabat dropping into joined the back 2 to make it a back 3, saibari dropping to the right side similar to dembele on the left at psg, deadly on the counter. Committing 6 sometimes even 7 players into the box
Really looking forward to this one!! Brazil’s game model is built off elite technicality and allowing top players to play with freedom, we’ll see this even more now with Carlo Ancelotti who will give the team balance but allow the players to ‘play’ Morocco’s game model built off elite compactness and top coordination in their off ball 4-1-4-1 structure, can drop into a situational back 5 when in a low block. However despite most people speaking about the defensive side of Morocco’s game, it’s key to note they have top dynamic profiles and will be a threat in transition. I’m a big fan of Bilal El-Khannouss in particular. Plus the already well established stars such as Hakimi and Brahim will both be threatening. Saibari an outlet to hit over the Brazil press from deep Morocco builds. Interested to see how Morocco in an actual tournament against great opposition without Walid Regragui in the dugout. Let’s go! 🇲🇦🇧🇷🍿

The game started with raphinha in the left half space with vini wide and ibanez pushing high right and paqueta inverting, which was bizarre but alas, raphinha moves to the right.

Morroco's counter press is on another level, really elite. Extreme verticality (forward first mentality)

This is exactly the reason why your definition of world class is flawed, world class is a tittle given to a player based on elite numbers, consistency and longevity at the highest level, using that top 3 nonsense helps people sneak their favourite players in, exhibit 1
I have come to find out that Bukayo Saka is one of the most disrespected players playing the game. How can you deny his status as a top 3 RW today? This is a genius footballer, just look at what a 6/10 Bukayo Saka performance entails.

Who else has a feeling Otto Addo’s formation would have been exactly the same as Hugo Broos set up against Mexico?

So by your logic they've been only 33 world class players in the history of the game?? Jokes. I agree, Harry Kane is the only world-class player England have currently but your definition of world-class is heavily wrong.
This couldn’t be further from the truth, world class is top 3 in your position: Harry Kane is a top 3 CF Declan Rice is a top 3 CM Jude Bellingham is a top 3 #10 Reece James is a top 3 RB Bukayo Saka is a top 3 RW At the very least, there’s 5 world class players with players like Marcus Rashford, Elliot Anderson and Nico O’Reilly all on the fringes.

next is consistency because doing it for 5 games is easy but doing it all season is a totally different thing then you need longevity where you show you can maintain those high standards over multiple years not just a flash in the pan lastly is doing it at the absolute highest

highest level in the biggest games against the best teams if you cant check all 4 of those boxes consistently you aren't world class simple as that stop trying to make it complicated just to fit your favorite players into the list

Replying to @GauravAnlyst
I think both the Goalkeeper and also the midfielder are at fault. Goalkeeper played at the weak foot of the midfielder and also it was a poor touch from the player. Also, kudos to Lira for the press as Sithole scanned the pitch twice before recieving yet he got caught.

A chip pass is harder to make by a goal keeper, it's slow which gives the oponet a few seconds to restructure their press, and it's harder to control under pressure by a ceter back, and it also leaves that center back cornered, the third man pass was the best or going long.
Since you are interested in tactics kindly research on pressing traps and pressing triggers. It’s also wrong to suggest that a chip pass corners you. Most ball playing goalkeepers use chip passes to bypass press.

Mexican press, its wasn't the goalkeeper it was the player who made a mistake.

Now in this frame you see the southafricans making the same mistake the Mexicans did in their press, the difference is the Mexican dm played it to the left center back which broke the southafrican press, are you going to tell me this was a trap too??

So basically it's a problem if Haiti and Curaçao, etc qualify but it would be great to see countries he don't give butterflies about the game qualify even tho they suck??
I know it’s said every World Cup but the fact that China and India still can’t qualify even with an expanded tournament when they have a combined male population of around 1.5 billion is kinda nuts.
