Urine can tell us more than standard kidney markers alone. Peptidomics studies small protein fragments in urine that may reflect tissue damage, inflammation, fibrosis, progression, or treatment response. Another layer for more personalised CKD care. #CKD #Peptidomics #PICKED

In #CKD, “high risk” is not just one #kidney function number. Two patients can have the same #eGFR but very different outlooks depending on albuminuria, blood pressure, diabetes, biomarkers, genetics, and disease history. Better risk prediction means better timing and care.

A promising biomarker is only the beginning. Before it can guide patient care, it must be validated across cohorts, labs, and real clinical settings. That takes time, and it should. Validation protects patients and turns research into real impact. #CKD #Biomarkers #PICKED
